Suzanne Kanatsiz

Experimental and conceptual in nature, Suzanne Kanatsiz uses diverse materials to create paintings,

drawings & sculpture that invite contemplation. Often using slow, laborious processes that include

transparency and repetition, she poses questions about inner worlds that lie beyond appearances. Suzanne

has a Master of Fine Art from San Jose State University. She is one of two daughters born to an American

mother and Turkish father. She has lived in Europe and the Middle East, which included a teaching

appointment and a Fulbright Fellowship at United Arab Emirates University.
