Matthew Choberka

Matthew Choberka is an Associate Professor of Art at Weber State University where he is currently serving

as Department Chair. He received his Master of Fine Arts in painting from Indiana University after studying

at the New York Studio School, the Hochschule der Kunste (Berlin), and Columbia College (Chicago). He

has recently exhibited at Torrance Art Museum (California), Governor’s Island Art Fair (New York), Raid

Projects in Los Angeles, and Beaux-Arts des Ameriques in Montreal. Matthew's paintings are hybrids of

visual language that engage the instability and complexity of contemporary life.
