Jenevieve Hubbard

Jenevieve Hubbard is a painter and performance artist. Her undergraduate studies were in fine art. She

spent much of her childhood in Native Y'Upik Villages in Alaska and her adult years in the city. She began

creating as a means of returning to elemental themes of her childhood by drawing on mythology

from stories the village elders shared, to daily ritual and to age-old symbols reduced to their most intrinsic

meaning.
