Dahrl Thomson

Dahrl Thomson creates in a variety of mediums and scale, but carving stone is her most expressive

material; "Sculpting stone is my passion. Stone represents ions of time, change and travel.” At times the

stone’s appearance suggests to Thomson what to create, and other times she already has the final object

in mind.

Thomson attended both the Art Institute of Chicago and American Academy of Art in Illinois, and received

her BA from Brigham Young University. She has exhibited extensively in Utah and Colorado, including a

solo exhibition and multiple group shows at the Springville Museum of Art.
