Over 30 years of excellence. A Gallery Fine Art & Custom Framing
Darl Thomas
Darl Thomas’ sculptures are based on the geometric forms he views in architecture, which he then breaks
down to the basic elements of shape and space. Thomas strives to show the relationship between the
shapes and spaces in between, creating an extreme minimal work he views as line drawings made of
metal.
Darl Thomas earned a Master of Fine Arts at Cranbook Academy of Art in Michigan and a BFA at the
University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Darl has participated in numerous exhibitions in Utah and Colorado, as
well as created many pieces for public commissions including the ATK Memorial Sculpture in Corinne,
Utah, a piece for Park City Transit Center, the Scott M. Matheson Court Building in Salt Lake City, as well
as pieces for Wasatch Hollow Park and Weber State University.
