Brent Godfrey

Brent Godfrey uses the painting process to translate objects, figures, and landscapes into physical

metaphor.Combining varying degrees of abstraction and representation, he explores identity and memory,

interpersonal relationships, and social conventions. Raised in Utah, Godfrey graduated Cum Laude with a

Bachelor of Arts before completing a master's degree and expanding his painting studies in Italy. He has

been featured in museum and gallery exhibitions internationally and mounted significant solo shows. His

paintings have garnered awards and have been published broadly.
